Tonus, 21 next month, was one of the short-odds favourites for the title at the start of the year but a broken scaphoid at the Canada Heights Maxxis just a week before the GP opener put his world ambitions on hold for another year. He will clearly not be 100% race fit and will merely be looking for top ten in France, but Yamaha must be glad to have one of their MX2 top guns back in the chase with the hope of glory later in the summer.
The Rinaldi half of the official Yamaha team should also be at full strength as Steven Frossard hopes a fortnight's rest have given his knee sufficient time to recover, whiole David Philippaerts and Christophe Charlier were both podium men in Brazil.
