The second round of the Italian international series planned for Faenza this weekend has been postponed to THURSDAY March 17 after a devastating snowstorm has made the hillside track 20 miles east of Imola impassable; conditions are so bad that the teams would not even be able to get into the paddock !

Yamaha pretty much swept the board in the opening round of the Internazionale d'Italia at Ponte a Egola. David Philippaerts and Steven Frossard won the motos, and Gautier Paulin ran away with the MX2 class in the opener before, just for a change, taking a DNF in race two. But the whole thing meant nothing as rain ruined racing !
