Cedric Soubeyras will be back on his beloved two-stroke later this month when the SX Tour kicks off at La Bosse de Bretagne. The 22 year old Frenchman is already back in training on the Sarholz SX250 KTM: "Beh ! Was ist das ? The two stroke power is back for the SX. Thanks Burkhardt Sarholz ! I'm loving it !"

It's now official ! The contract was signed this morning and the 2013 Motocross des Nations will be held at Teutschenthal. It will be the first time that the race will be held in Germany since 1989.

NO US GP 2012
... and Lierop is back !

The provisional calendar for the 2012 GP season is out. Don't take it as gospel yet, because experience shows that refinements are all part of the game, but the GP season will run into October, there will be no US GP, only two overseas rounds, Lierop is back on the schedule and there will be an increase to 16 GPs.
And the British GP at Matterley Basin promises to a massive extravaganza from Tuesday on, featuring not only MX1, MX2, MX3, WMX and a single event Vets championship but also both UEM GP entry series, the EM 85 final and EMAm, which will even include overseas riders.

Nikolaj Larsen, taken unconscious from the track during the second MX2 moto at Uddevalla, is out of danger, but will not be racing for a couple of weeks after suffering a severe concussion.

It didn't take Tom Church long to get fixed up with a new ride; the 29 year old has signed with the high-profile HM Plant Red Bull KTM UK team to take over Graeme Irwin's SX350Fs for the remainder of the season ... which in TC's case means Maxxis, Red Bull Pro, GPs, the Southwick National and UK Supercross !

Maxxis leader Brad Anderson has confirmed his participation in this year's leading beach race WBR11 to be held at Swansea Bay from October 7-9. Twice on the podium in previous editions of the race, the north-easterner is going for gold this year as he defends the British bulkhead against the formidable opposition of Steve Ramon, the ultimate beach race king.

Clement Desalle faces a week of uncertainty regarding his ability to defend the MX1 world championship plate; the 22 year old Belgian was involved in an incident with Jeremy Van Horebeek during the first moto of the national championship race at Tongeren and took no further part in proceedings.
A dislocated shoulder was put back in place already at the track, and a cut finger was stitched up at the local hospital. Desalle will return to hospital tomorrow for an MRI scan to determine the full extent of the damage.

The off-road scene got excited at the end of last summer when Husqvarna, now owned by the giant BMW concern, announced its return to MX2 GP racing. The Italian stallions have traditionally been fast, and with national favourite Alessandro Lupino and dynamic Californian Michael Leib to race them, a second European front runner looked on the cards.
