LIVI'S LEGAL !
... wonder where they got the idea LOL

Livia Lancelot's entries for the MX2 GPs in Qatar and Thailand are legal ... as of yesterday !
It would appear that when the 25 year old's entries for the two opening GPs were approved at the weekend, nobody in the ivory FIM towers had actually realised that she was TOO OLD as MX2 has an age cap @ 23 years. mx-pure.com pointed this out on Saturday http://www.mx-pure.com/archive/news-20090318095900-20130216080635.htm and bingo, three days later the rules are amended LOL. Now we can all wait with eager anticipation for Friday May 2 in Qatar 2 C if the 108% rule becomes a male-only rule PMSL

DEANO DOMINATES DALLAS | 17.02.2013
DEANO DOMINATES DALLAS

Dean Wilson kept the Lites class firmly in European hands with a runaway win as the East Coast opened in Dallas: "This feels so good. It's been 10 months waiting for that. I knew I needed to get the start, so I fought for it and it went well. I saw the leader and I knew I was good in the whoops, so I just went on the outside around him. He (Kyle Peters) raced clean and I respect that. From there I just rode my own race." The evening in Texas was green all the way as Ryan Villopoto recorded his third SX class win in seven rounds; the defending champion had been passed by James Stewart in his heat, but "Bubba" never even made the start in the Main as his bike broke at the line !

TOMAC HITS BACK
... but K-Roc makes him sweat !
Eli Tomac got back to winning ways as the West Coast Lites went into the break @ San Diego, but there was no playing safe for Ken Roczen as the German points leader made the Geico Honda leader sweat it out to the finish to cut a four second deficit to just two-tenths of a second in the final third of the race. In the SX class Davi Millsaps kept his cool whilst all around him were losing theirs for his second win of the series to extend his points lead to 19.

K-Roc & Dungey paint Anaheim orange

Ken Roczen and Ryan Dungey painted Anaheim orange on a great night for KTM in the fifth round of the US SX series. The German teenager led the Lites Main all the way to extend his series lead to 20 points, while Dungey only had to pass Mike Alessi in the 450 Main after only transfering on the very last lap of the LCQ. The US outdoor champion has moved to second in points as Trey Canard and Ryan Villopoto each gave themselves plenty of work with early problems. But the clever guy is still Davi Millsaps; on the podium for the 4th time in five races and never out of the top five, the Suzuki teamster now leads by 14 !

Roger De Coster extends with KTM to 2016 | 01.02.2013
Roger De Coster extends with KTM to 2016

Having led KTM North America to an outdoor title plus race victories both indoor and outdoor in MX1 and MX2 Roger De Coster has now extended his contract with Mattighofen until at least the end of 2016: "The job continues to be fun for me and to work with KTM is very refreshing. It's easy to get things done, decisions are made quickly and I can have a lot of influence on the team and the bike. It is our goal to fight for the title in both Supercross and Motocross – ideally in the future also with two factory riders per class."

Blue skies for qualification in Mantova
Max Nagl got his Honda career off to a flying start with victory in the MX1 qualification race as the 2013 outdoor season swung into gear @ Mantova today. The German swept past ICE1 KTM's Xavier Boog at the start of the second lap and was never endagered again as the Suzukis of Clement Desalle and Kevin Strijbos eventually pushed Boog back to 4th. Polesetter Gautier Paulin had to come through the pack for 6th behind Kawasaki teammate Jeremy Van Horebeek, while MVR-D's Tanel Leok and Jason Dougan cruised to 9th and 12th. Glenn Coldenhoff ran down Romain Febvre for the MX2 win with James Cottrell 9th on the Putoline Honda after running top six for many laps.

Ryan Villopoto destroys 'em @ A2
Ryan Villopoto put Kawasaki back on the top of the podium with a stunning victory @ Anaheim II as he passed all of his major rivals to run away with the Main event. Davi Millsaps still leads the points, but the defending champion is homing in as Phoenix winner Justin Barcia crashed out on lap one. It was still a good night for Honda though, as Trey Canard and Chad Reed completed the podium, while Eli Tomac took his third straight win in the Lites, riding under Ken Roczen in a left hander at the end of lap nine before they both passed Cole Seely to again finish 1-2. More first lap turmoil for Max Anstie, but Zach Osborne finished fourth.

BARCIA TOPS PHOENIX | 13.01.2013
BARCIA TOPS PHOENIX

Justin Barcia had a perfect night in Phoenix to head qualifying, win his heat and lead the Main all the way for his maiden 450 win - "The track was a bit slick and gnarly, but I kept it smooth" - but the man on the move was Ryan Villopoto. The defending champion can't make a start this year and had to come through the pack in both heat and Main, but his best lap was half a second ahead of the rest as he was gifted second at the end when Trey Canard tipped over twice in the same turn on the last lap. Davi Millsaps inherited third to maintain the points lead, whilst Eli Tomac again dominated from Ken Roczen in the Lites.

K-ROC 2nd @ A1 | 06.01.2013
K-ROC 2nd @ A1

Ken Roczen started the 2013 campaign in style @ A1 as he chased reigning West Coast champion Eli Tomac home for a solid second placed start on a cool Socal evening with temperatures hovering around 50º F. Half the top ten could boast GP backgrounds as Zach Osborne pounded back to 7th from a first lap melee which had also claimed Baggett and Davalos, Tyla Rattray salvaged PC's best result of a torrid night in 8th, Max Anstie raced to a solid 9th and Michael Leib completed the top ten. K-Roc and the Real 338 were posting significantly faster times than the opposition at the end of the 15 lap Lites Main. Sensation in the SX class as Davi Millsaps dominated to give Suzuki their first win for three years.
