MX-LIFE.TV OFFERS COMPENSATION TO AFFECTED VIEWERS

As those of you who took out a subscription for the entire season or for the Bulgarian GP are aware, MX-LIFE.TV experienced teething troubles with the live online broadcast of the opening moto in both MX1 and MX2 classes on Sunday. Service was resumed for the second moto in each class, but subscribers have now been offered a full refund.

RED PLATES FOR DESALLE & ROCZEN
... but Tommy Searle is 2nd in MX2
The first red plates in the 2011 world series went to Clement Desalle and Ken Roczen as Rockstar and Red Bull won the energy drink wars, but Monster took second in each courtesy of Steven Frossard and Tommy Searle.
"I expected Ken to be fast and he was; he took the holeshots and controlled both races, but I believe I can go that fast too," insisted Tommy. "Ideally I should have got to second earlier, so I could have seen his lines but I wheelied out of the gate both motos and by the time I got past Herlings for second, he was gone. But my day will come !"

Steven Frossard and Ken Roczen swept to runaway victories on a windy day in the first qualification races of the 2011 season at Sevlievo in Bulgaria; Tommy Searle pushed past Jeffrey Herlings for second in MX2 and Shaun Simpson also got through to second on his MX1 debut before severe arm pump forced the Scot to slacken his pace.

... and Villopoto the points chase !
Trey Canard completed a Texas double - the Honda rider also won Houston - and Ryan Villopoto snatched back the points lead in a Dallas thriller as James Stewart finished off a bad week by again colliding with the series leader, this time Chad Reed. Dean Wilson again won the Lites, but a 7th consecutive podium for Justin Barcia leaves the US wild boy still leading the table by 13 points.

SEBASTIEN POURCEL OUT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS

Sébastien Pourcel's injuries from his massive get-off during the second moto at Canada Heights on Sunday are more serious than at first thought; the 26 year old Frenchman has damaged the sixth thoracic vertebra and will be out of action for several months.

LUCKY JONATHAN | 30.03.2011
LUCKY JONATHAN

Whilst most of the stars of the GP world have faced wet or cold conditions through most of their warm-up races, Jonathan Barragan and the Spanish championship contenders have had a more pleasant time. Already round one at Talavera was held in sunshine, the second round took them down to Andalusia and round three was on Tenerife !

DEANO WARMS UP THE CANADIAN DEEP FREEZE | 27.03.2011
DEANO WARMS UP THE CANADIAN DEEP FREEZE

It may have been cold outside with temperatures well below zero and snow on the ground, but Dean Wilson warmed the hearts of a record 45,217 Canadian crowd inside downtown Toronto's Rogers Centre to run down Justin Barcia for the Lites win. There were more goose-pimples for the Monster girls as James Stewart knocked off Ryan Villopoto in the SX Main to hand the points lead to Chad Reed and a first win of the series to defending champion Ryan Dungey.

SCALING THE (CANADA) HEIGHTS IN 1965

Did you know that in the dark and distant past the track layout at Canada Heights was anti-clockwise ? Well, here's the proof, and the tape of Dave Bickers and Jeff Smith going head-to-head in March 1965 is equally as hot as the action you can expect when the Maxxis comes to town on Sunday.
